Overview

This policy explains what information PromptAncestry AI collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We collect only what is needed to run the service.

Information we collect

Account information: your email address and an encrypted password, used to sign you in.

Prompt data: everything you enter, including prompts, task context, constraints, locked preferences, tags, test cases, rubrics, feedback, and experiment outputs and scores.

Usage information: counts of actions such as AI analyses and test runs, used to show your monthly usage and to protect the service from abuse.

How your prompt data is stored

Your projects, versions and experiments are stored privately in your account. Access rules ensure only you can read or change them. Versions are kept until you delete the project.

When you delete a project, its versions, analyses, experiments and outputs are permanently removed.

How AI is used

When you choose “Analyze & generate”, run an experiment, or request an AI-judge score, the relevant prompt text, test cases and rubric are sent to a third-party AI model provider through a secure gateway to produce a response.

AI processing happens only when you start it. We do not use your prompts to train our own models. AI providers process the data under their own terms and may retain it briefly for safety and abuse monitoring.

Do not include passwords, health records, payment details or other sensitive personal information in prompts or test cases.

How we use information

To provide and improve the service, keep your account secure, show usage limits, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help run PromptAncestry AI (hosting, database, and AI model providers), or when required by law.

Your choices

You can export your prompts at any time, delete individual projects, or ask us to delete your account and all associated data by emailing promptancestry@proton.me.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. AI credentials are kept on our servers and never exposed in your browser. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
