You can run your own test cases on paid plans and review saved outputs separately from subjective AI-judge opinions. The AI does not promote a winner for you.
When Braintrust fits
You need application traces, production datasets, offline experiments, online scoring, custom code scorers or evaluation in CI/CD. Braintrust documents LLM-as-a-judge scoring and human review as well. We do not claim these capabilities are absent simply because our workflow is different.

One account, 25 optimizations and 6 AI-judged test runs per month. Each optimization produces three candidates. Version history, branching, comparisons and locked preferences are included. No rollover or automatic overage charges; taxes may apply.
Braintrust Pro: $249/month platform fee
The official pricing page lists $100 in monthly model credits, 5 GB of processed data, 50,000 scores and 30-day retention. Additional usage can be billed separately. Braintrust also offers a Free tier. This is not a per-seat comparison or an equivalent allowance.

Is PromptAncestry a replacement for Braintrust’s tracing platform?
No. PromptAncestry focuses on prompt projects, version ancestry, locked preferences and user-reviewed experiments. Braintrust documents application tracing, online scoring, evaluation experiments, datasets and human review.
Are the two Pro prices directly comparable?

Do AI-judge scores prove that a prompt is better?
